We began October with our Timebank Bake Off. The winning cake belonged to the talented Emily. The judge (Iona from Free Cakes for Kids) tried to take it home with her!

Our Sign Language course hit a hitch when our tutor injured her arm, but we hope to restart the course as soon as she is fit again. Monday Members’ Evenings were also suspended during the cold, dark months, but will also restart in the new year.

The Museum of London launched an exhibition on Uncommon Currencies, and featured Spice Credits in their display.

Our wonderful co-ordinator, Georgina, received a Highly Commended Award in the St Neots Awards. We are all very proud of her. Having won Charity of the Year in 2015, we are proud that our continuing contribution to the local community is being recognised, and particularly all of Georgina’s (and James’s!) tireless work. It is a matter of particular pride and inspiration to us to be led by someone with a disability – she shows us every day what we are all capable of achieving in the service of others, whatever our personal limitations.
